The Shadowserver Foundation is volunteer security organization founded to study the Internet criminal element in its many forms, and to gather data that can be used to help detect malicious networks and protect against them. Shadowserver botnet Command & Control server data feed is one of the many data feeds we employ in our Botnet Threat Intelligence service.

We actively participate in these community data projects:

• Shadowserver volunteer watchdog group of security professionals that gather, track, and report on malware, botnet activity, and electronic fraud
• SIE@ISC Internet Systems Consortium - Security Information Exchange
• REN-ISAC cyber security operational protection and response within the higher education and research (R&E) communities
• Defense Research and Engineering Network (DREN) links military agencies to High Performance Computing resources.
