Abstract: Adaptive Risk-based Convoy Route Planning

Adaptive Sense & Respond Logistics measures the success of the logistics supply chain by its adaptability to changing, unpredictable logistics demand and the speed of response. In this project we researched and developed a decision tool for adaptive risk-based route planning that demonstrates a capability to forecast future conditions from past and current conditions, allow the logistics planner to determine optimal routes using both the current and forecasted conditions, and enable a dynamic re-planning capability in-the-field that responds to real-time events by forecasting the likely downstream impact of the events and adapts the plan to optimize the likelihood of mission success. Our solution provides capabilities for plan optimization, re-planning, intelligent plan alert generation, and traffic forecasts.
