- Job Description:
This position involves the development of innovative state-of-the-art knowledge management applications that provide decision makers with context-specific, real-time situational awareness of the status of critical information resources. In this position, you will lead the design, prototyping, and development of software agents that monitor, learn and automate user interactions with Web services applications. Research Scientist - Information Security
- Job Description:
Seeking self motivated and collaborative information security professional to contribute to the research & development of solutions for detecting malicious behavior and analyzing risk in cybersecurity applications. Under multiple projects in this area, you will work on researching the state of the art, prototyping using in house and open source decision information security tools and data services, contributing to the development of information security data service offerings, writing proposals, making client presentations and publishing in peer reviewed journals.

Software Engineer - Semantic Web
Job Description: In this position, you'll design, prototype and develop innovative, state-of-the-art knowledge management software applications for various federal agencies. The research & development projects you'll make an impact on involve behavioral modeling and forecasting in the areas of counterinsurgency, political instability, and Stability, Security, Transition and Reconstruction (SSTR) operations and its commercialization for the business intelligence market. We're seeking people who are knowledgeable with emerging semantic web technologies and are able to evaluate and leverage open source software tools where applicable to a given problem. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to customer presentations, develop proposals and publish reports.
Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science, or equivalent
- 3 years of commercial software development experience
- Demonstrable prototyping and iterative, agile development experience
- Proven software engineering knowledge and practice
- Familiarity with structured wiki, RDF/OWL, Sparql and RDF triplestores is highly desirable.

Intern - Knowledge Management

This position requires a dynamic intern with an interest in knowledge management (KM) to support research and development of KM tools for Security, Stability, Transition, and Reconstruction (SSTR) operations. In this position, you will identify Field Manuals for SSTR operations led by the civilian and military government agencies, NGO, donor and private sector, extract structured content from Field Manuals and capture them in a structured wiki, find and catalog quantitative data to support SSTR operations modeling and decision making and participate in online SSTR communities to develop additional ideas for knowledge management design.
- Requirements:
Bachelors degree in relevant field (e.g. Digital Library, International Relations), fluency with relevant knowledge management tools (e.g. wiki, spreadsheets), superior organizational skills and attention to detail, excellent writing skills, and strong interpersonal communication skills and willingness to take initiative.
