Sense and Respond Logistics (S&RL) is a logistics system interwoven with network-centric operations and based upon highly adaptive, self-synchronizing, dynamically reconfigurable demand and supply networks that anticipate and stimulate actions to enhance capability or mitigate support shortfalls.
These concepts, embodied in a future Joint logistics capability that is enhanced by advanced, real-time information technology which is flexible, robust, and scalable, will result in profound changes to our industrial age military logistics system and result in enhanced effects-based capability.
